Accounts and devices
Each account is for one person. Keep your password private and use a unique email address for each account. You are responsible for activity on your account. Do not sell, buy, trade or share accounts, and never impersonate another player or a member of staff.
The limits apply to what is online at the same time, not to the total number of accounts you may own:

Do not use additional devices, accounts, proxies or other workarounds to evade these limits. Players sharing an IP address share its client and Auto Battle limits.
Device pairing is optional but recommended. Once an account is paired, it may only be played from devices you have approved. This is account security, separate from anti-cheat enforcement. Pair only devices you own and trust.
Clients and automation
Launch through AshenRO Patcher or AshenGuard.exe, and keep your client updated. The server's own Auto Battle and Auto Support are the only permitted automation. Clientless bots, packet bots, macros, auto-clickers and unauthorised automation are prohibited. Do not modify the client or launcher to bypass restrictions or gain an unfair advantage.
Auto Support uses two account sessions and remains subject to the simultaneous limits above. Auto Battle's gameplay restrictions and reduced rewards still apply; see the feature guide.
Fair play and the economy
Do not exploit bugs, duplicate items or zeny, manipulate packets, interfere with other players' connections, or obtain access to another player's account. Do not evade bans or conceal illicit gains through linked accounts.
Real-money trading (RMT) is prohibited: do not buy or sell accounts, characters, items, zeny or services for real money or value outside the game. Account trading and hacking are also prohibited.
Respect other players' hunts. Do not deliberately kill-steal, repeatedly disrupt another player's activity or use harassment to exclude someone from the game. PvP is allowed in designated PvP areas and on maps made PvP by a living MVP.
Behaviour
Treat players and staff respectfully. Harassment, threats, hate speech, targeted abuse, doxxing, scams, impersonation and spam are prohibited. The same expectations apply to character names, guild names, chat, public posts and the AshenRO Discord. Do not post another person's private information.
Staff and evidence
Staff enforce these rules using server logs and documented evidence. Player screenshots or videos may open an investigation, but they do not by themselves establish a ban. Staff must follow the sanctions below and may remove gains associated with confirmed abuse.
Disagree with a decision through the appeal process. Do not harass staff or other players over an investigation.

The response is based on the proven violation and its severity. Permanent RMT bans are not appealable.
Appeals
You may make one appeal within 7 days of the sanction through a private Discord ticket. Include your account or character name, the sanction, its date and the reason you believe it should be reviewed. Never send a password. The decision after review is final. This process does not apply to RMT bans.
Reports and bugs
Join the official Discord and contact staff privately to report a player, security issue or bug. Use the server's reporting or support ticket channel when available; ask a moderator if you cannot find it. Include the time, map, character names, a description and any relevant evidence.
You will not be punished for reporting a bug that you found and stopped using. Stop exploiting it, preserve the details and report it privately. Do not publish instructions that help others abuse it.
