Auto Battle

Every character owns an Auto Battle device. It fights for you on the map you are standing on, using the skills, potions and rules you set.

Updated 21 September 2026

Updated 26 October 2026: class-specific combat, new item controls and automatic pauses while interacting with NPCs, storage or chat.

THE SHORT VERSION
  • The device is character-bound and is never used up. You can open the menu while sitting, but starting a session stands you up.
  • Kills made on Auto Battle give 30% less EXP and 30% fewer drops, and never drop Ashen Coins. Quest kill counts and quest EXP are not reduced.
  • Two Auto Battle sessions per IP address. Your name shows [AUTO] while it runs.

1What you can set

The menu is a list of settings, and you can change any of them between sessions.

SettingWhat it does
Attack skillsPick the skills and the level to use. Set a skill's level to 0 to take it off the list, so you do not have to clear everything to drop one skill.
Buff skillsRecast whenever they are missing.
Buff itemsThe corrected list shows all Battle Manuals, Job Manuals and Bubble Gum, using one at a time until you run out. Foods and scrolls remain available from your inventory.
Cure ItemsTick only the cure items you allow Auto Battle to use. It will not use any cure item you have not selected.
LootEverything, nothing, or a list of item ids.
MonstersThe Monsters page lists the monsters Auto Battle will actually attack, so you can check its targets.

How each class fights

Auto Battle skips skills it cannot currently use. Casters save area spells for a crowd and place them where the monsters are. Ranged characters back away from slow melee monsters to keep their distance.

Pausing and ending a session

Opening an NPC, storage or chat window pauses Auto Battle. It resumes when you close the window. Shops and trades still end the session.

2Healing and resting

Healing has three parts and they work together.

Heal skill. Cast Heal on yourself below a chosen HP percent. Acolyte line only.

Potions. HP potions and SP potions each get their own triggers, and every potion shows “Use at N% HP”. Add as many as you like from your inventory. When several would fire, the one with the lowest threshold that you are actually carrying goes first, so an emergency potion set at 10% beats a White Potion set at 60%.

Rest. Sit below one threshold and stand up at another. Resting uses the normal sitting recovery, so it is the same 120 seconds from empty to full. If a monster interrupts the rest your character teleports away and sits again. If you stand it up by hand, it sits straight back down.

The 1 October update improved pathing and fixed the escape warp when attacked while resting.

3Teleport rules

Three things can make it teleport: sitting idle, low HP while being hit, and a crowd, meaning a number of monsters attacking you at once.

Teleport is never required. A character with no Teleport skill, no Fly Wing and no Creamy Card simply walks itself free instead.

4Where it will and will not go

As of 3 October 2026, Auto Battle detects monsters up to 12 cells away, increased from 9. Characters with normal attacks switched off, including casters, walk around rocks and walls to reach their target. Read the patch notes →

It roams the map towards distant spawn areas rather than circling one spot, and it never goes through portals. If a route fails, it is abandoned after about 30 seconds so the character moves on instead of getting stuck in a dead end.

It cannot run in towns, on non-combat maps, or on PvP maps. That includes a map where an MVP is currently alive, because that map counts as PvP until the MVP dies.

5Other Settings

Cast Cancelling, SP Reserve and Normal Attacks live together on the Other Settings page, along with a Reset option.

SettingWhat it does
Cast CancellingOff by default. Interrupts whatever you are casting the moment an emergency potion or a teleport rule fires. Without it, a caster half-way through Fire Bolt only drinks once the cast lands.
SP ReserveKeeps a floor of SP that attack skills will not touch, so there is always enough left for a teleport or a heal.
Normal AttacksTurns plain auto-attacks on or off alongside your skills.

6Fair play

Auto Battle will not take a monster another player hit in the last five seconds, and will not take one that is chasing another player — unless that player is in your party.

The reductions are the trade for letting it play for you. Kills made on Auto Battle give 30% less EXP and 30% fewer drops, and never drop Ashen Coins. Quest kill counts and quest EXP are not reduced, so a hunt you are running still counts in full.

7Smart cast

Standard and Premium VIP only.

Type @smartcast on and your attack-skill hotkeys fire at the monster you are already attacking. No crosshair and no second click. A Sniper shooting into a mob can press Double Strafe and it lands on that same monster, and the auto-attack carries on.

Ground-targeted skills still ask you to place them, and Monk and Taekwon combos are unaffected. @smartcast off gives you the normal targeting cursor back. The setting is remembered per character.
