New Player Guide
Everything a new AshenRO player does, in the order you do it. Follow it from top to bottom and you will end up in Prontera with a job, free manuals and your first daily quest.
- Make your account at register.ashenro.com, install the new client, then sign in to the launcher. The game opens signed in and the computer pairs automatically.
- Do not skip the Novice Grounds. The Item Tutor there gives you manuals, bubble gums and a free Mercenary Hire Ticket. They make the first twenty levels much faster.
- In Prontera, use the codes ASHEN88 and GOLVLUP at the Code Redemption NPC. Then change job at job level 10 and take your first daily from the Hunting Board.
1Create your account
Go to register.ashenro.com and press Register. You cannot make an account inside the game, so do this first.
Every account needs its own email address. Nobody else can use that address. You need it to reset your password if you ever forget it.
After you log in, My Account shows your characters and your VIP type. Rankings shows the top characters, the top zeny holders and the top guilds.
2Install the new client
Live 19 October 2026, 00:00 (GMT+8). Server down from 18 October 21:00 (GMT+8) for about three hours.
No wipe. Accounts, characters and items carry over.
Install the new game once, into a new folder. Keep the old folder until the switch is done. Until 19 October 00:00 the new game cannot log in. After the switch the old game cannot log in.
Download the new installer. Default folder: C:\Games\AshenRO.
3Sign in once
Sign in to the new launcher. The game opens signed in.
The first sign-in on a computer pairs it automatically. No more PAIR button.
4Finish the Novice Grounds
Every new character gets a starter pack on first login: Auto Battle, 50 Fly Wings and 10 Butterfly Wings. You may want to leave straight away, but the Novice Grounds only take a few minutes and they are worth it.
The Item Tutor on the training island hands out 5 Battle Manuals, 5 Job Manuals, 5 Bubble Gums and Free Mercenary Hire Ticket. The manuals and gums are character-bound.

Three mercenary NPCs stand together in Prontera, and the one you trade your ticket with decides what kind of mercenary you get. A mercenary fights beside you, so the first twenty levels go much faster.
Prontera (189, 180) — Melee, and the sturdiest of the three.
Prontera (187, 178) — Melee with longer reach.
Prontera (185, 176) — Attacks from a distance.
If you play an Acolyte, you also get the Auto Support device when you change job.
5Redeem your two free codes
Walk to the Code Redemption NPC in Prontera at (181, 216). Two codes are free and never expire.
- ASHEN88 gives you a Standard VIP Ticket worth seven days. You get the ticket, not the VIP time, so you choose when to start it by using the ticket. You can only claim this code once on each account, and the ticket is bound to the character who claims it, so use it on the character you plan to keep.
- GOLVLUP gives you five Battle Manuals and five Job Manuals. They are character-bound, and every new character can claim them again.
6Learn the Prontera square
Almost everything you need is a few steps from the fountain. Learn where these four are and you will save a lot of walking.

There is no bank on AshenRO. You carry your zeny with you, so think before you take a lot of it into a dangerous map.
7Change job at job level 10
You can change job as soon as you reach job level 10, and there is no reason to wait. Talk to the Job Master at (163, 195).
Your platinum skills arrive with the job change, so you can use the full skill set right away.
8Take your first Hunting Board daily
The Hunting Board has 20 hunts per level range, daily and weekly hunts, and new rewards.
It costs nothing to take, and it is the easiest way to earn zeny and manuals early on. Take it before you leave town, so the monsters you were going to kill anyway also count for the quest.
