The Hunting Board has 20 hunts per level range, daily and weekly hunts, and new rewards. Recommendations below are leveling suggestions; check the board in game for current requirements and rewards.
Basic Leveling Guide
A route from the Novice Grounds to level 99. Each stage tells you where to go, which quest to pick up first, and when to move on.
- Always take the quest before you hunt. The monsters you were going to kill anyway then count towards it.
- Rangi and Tamra are once per character. The named repeatable hunts and the Hunting Board are the ones you come back to.
- Auto Battle gives 30% less EXP, 30% fewer drops and no Ashen Coins, so hunt by hand when you want the rewards.
1Level 1 to 10 — your first steps
Clear the Novice Grounds and take the free Mercenary Hire Ticket from the Item Tutor. Keep the ticket. You trade it in Prontera at the next stage.
Novice Grounds — Hands out 5 Battle Manuals, 5 Job Manuals, 5 Bubble Gums and Free Mercenary Hire Ticket.
2Level 10 to 30 — get a companion
Three mercenary NPCs stand together in Prontera, and the one you trade with decides what kind of mercenary you get. Pick the one that suits how you fight, then summon it. It fights beside you, so everything from here is faster.
Prontera (189, 180) — Melee, and the sturdiest of the three.
Prontera (187, 178) — Melee with longer reach.
Prontera (185, 176) — Attacks from a distance.
Then work pay_fild01 and pick up Rangi's 300-kill quest for 15,000 zeny. Gregor's repeatable Peco Peco hunt on moc_fild02 is worth adding alongside it.
pay_fild01 (344, 346) — Gives the 300-kill field hunt. Once per character.
3Level 30 to 40 — follow the field hunts
Head to pay_fild02 for Tamra's 500-Wolf quest. It pays 30,000 zeny and a large chunk of EXP.
pay_fild02 (92, 279) — Gives the 500-Wolf hunt. Once per character.
Pick up Laertes' repeatable Creamy hunt on prt_fild04 on the way, so you have two goals running at once.
4Level 40 to 60 — build a daily routine
This is where the Hunting Board starts to carry you. It gives three daily quests and one weekly in the 31–60 bracket. Take them before you leave town.
For somewhere to hunt, visit Nutters and Yullo on mjolnir_01 for the repeatable Coco and Caramel hunts.
5Level 61 to 89 — tougher ground
Keep taking the Hunting Board's 61–89 bracket. Orc Dungeon and Glast Heim are both solid, and Lilla's repeatable Dryad hunt on um_fild01 fits this range well.
6Level 90 to 99 — the final push
Take the Hunting Board's top 90–99 bracket. The deeper floors of Glast Heim and the Sphinx are the usual choices, and Miner's repeatable Medusa hunt on beach_dun is another option.
Save your Battle Manuals and Job Manuals from GOLVLUP and the attendance track for this stretch. The last ten levels are where they help most.
