2Daily quests

“Accept daily quests” draws three kill quests for your level bracket. Finish all three and claim one reward.

BracketKills per questZenyItemsEXP
1 – 305010,0003× Battle Manual, 3× Job Manual10% of your next base and job level
31 – 6015025,0003× Battle Manual, 3× Job Manual10% of your next base and job level
61 – 8930050,0003× Battle Manual, 3× Job Manual10% of your next base and job level
90 – 9950050,0003× Battle Manual, 3× Job Manual10% of your next base and job level

3The weekly quest

“Accept weekly quest” draws one monster from your own bracket and asks for 3,000 kills.

It pays 200,000 zeny and 3 Bubble Gums, plus a share of your next base and job level: 40% in the 1–30 bracket, 30% in 31–60, and 20% in each of the two brackets above that.

4The rules that catch people out

Accepting locks the deal. The monster, the kill count and the reward are all fixed to the bracket you were in when you accepted. If you accept at level 10 and hand in at level 60, you get the level-10 reward.

Abandoning forfeits it. Daily → Abandon Dailies, or Weekly → Abandon Weeklies, takes the quests out of your window, and you cannot take new ones until the reset. That is deliberate: it stops you re-rolling until you get easy monsters.

The manuals and Bubble Gum are account-bound and last 30 minutes. They give +50% base EXP, +50% job EXP and +100% drops.

5Repeatable hunts and turn-ins

Eighteen NPCs on the fields around the main towns offer repeatable quests: monster hunts, and item turn-ins where you hand in a stack of a monster's drop. Every hunt comes in three sizes and you choose which one to take. The sizes depend on the NPC — the early ones ask for 50, 100 or 150 kills, and the later ones ask for more.

The bigger sizes pay more for every kill, not only more in total: the three sizes pay 10%, 12% and 15% of the experience the monsters themselves give you. Rewards count as quest EXP, so VIP and manuals apply on top. Every NPC, its level window and its hunt sizes are on the Repeatable Quests page.

  • Accepted hunts appear in the quest window (Alt+U) with a live kill counter.
  • Party members near you get credit for each other's kills, the same as on the official servers.
  • One hunt at a time, from one NPC. You can give a hunt up at the NPC, but the count is lost.
  • A completed hunt pays its full reward, and anything beyond your current level carries into the next level.
  • Turn-ins have no cap and no cooldown. Bring another stack and get paid again.

6One-time field hunts

Two NPCs on the fields outside Payon give a hunt you can finish once per character. Progress shows in the quest window, and you can talk to the NPC again to give it up and take it again later.
